Extraordinary Life

What if living an Extraordinary life is living an Extra Ordinary life?

What if the real Extraordinary is the Extra Ordinary?

What if really seeing, appreciating, giving value to the Everyday Experience of Life is what makes us see the Extraordinary in what we often choose to label as Ordinary?

We’re so conditioned to want more, always more, what we think of as better, different, at the very least and of utter importance: we want not what IS here now. Anything but Now is better, whether our better is in the past or in the future – and the future, as we know deep down inside, always being another Now anyhow.

But is it really different? The future Now? If we don’t change our view, our perspective, our thoughts about this Now, what makes us think it will ever be different in the future, in the next Now? If not surrendering to being in this Now, our search for more, our belief in the value of adding, will always continue, will always haunt us, won’t it?

This urge to adding: things, people, experiences, achievements, places, deeds, dones✅✅✅✅✅✅ Some other time, some other place, some other state, some other face will be better. Or will it?

We love and value counting; peaks, prices 🏆💰, units, ounzes, levels, sales, years, days, dogs, steps, calories, carbs, distances, lengths, hours, minutes, seconds, splits of seconds and so much more. Don’t we seem to count our lives hoping to prove to be Extraordinary, living an Extraordinary life, more than we count on Life to reveal to us the Extraordinary? What if the Extraordinary shows up when we are present Now with what is already there, at our feet, our fingertips, our nosetip?

Often we seem to value more the being done✅ Being finished✅ The end product✅ The result✅ The over and done with✅ Maybe not seeing that the ultimate over and done (in many minds’ view at least) is 6 feet under✅

What if our eager to be done prevents us from enjoying the process, the pure Joy of just being in the flow, growing, changing naturally? What if more, more, more, different, different, different is a hinder to seeing that we already have it all? If we just choose to really see, really, really see it? And paradoxically if we enjoy, at least on some level appreciate, the process and the doing along the way, maybe we’ll suddenly change? The circumstances will change? Our life situation will change? Maybe even for (what we perceive as) the better? What if seeing the Extraordinary in being alive, here now with what is available to us right now, will change us, will change it all, give us what we strive for – without striving? Maybe we even discover that rusty or dusty is what we need right now?

If it’s not possible to enjoy or appreciate anything else right now; what about sensing our breath? Being with our breath this moment, acknowleding this invisble, yet so beautiful and sensory expression of Life? Life flowing through us? Isn’t that amazingly Extraordinary?

What if You are the Extraordinary? What if Life living through You is the Extraordinary? What if being You is Extraordinary by and of itself?

Yes, a seed will rise, stretch towards the light, but not for the purpose of reaching the light, grabbing it, just because it is in its core to grow and let light shine upon it. Rising, flourishing is the joy of the ride🌱🌸🌹🐛🦋🥀🍂🍁🌱

So what if the Extraordinary is being able and willing to be present with the Ordinary? Trusting that growing is natural to us, it’s in our core – and it will be, it will happen, without force, willpower, restriction, endless counting – maybe just with a mindful sigh of breath, going with the flow of Life (and a good cup of coffee; or tea)

Just asking… For a friend…

Kind regards,
FiloSofia
